NAACP’s Inspiring Text Messages

white

Every year the U.S. celebrates African American history during the month of February, officially named Black History Month.  Last year, I signed up for important Black History Month facts to be sent to my phone through an SMS program offered by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Inspired and impressed, I never unsubscribed. The NAACP continues to text me and I enjoy learning about events and feeling involved with the association. They even reminded me about President Obama’s State of the Union Address in January. I know Verizon probably charges small texting fee but I love my NAACP SMS facts and I’d never ask to unsubscribe.

FACT: Over 20% of customers want to receive SMS coupons but don’t.
TIP: Send interesting and relevant information to subscribers. The SMS marketing will quickly pay off with customer involvement.
